Spring Rain Brings Lush Color

Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, Massachusetts, covers approximately 480 acres along the banks of the Merrimack River. Formerly the country estate of Frederick Strong Moseley, the property was acquired by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management in 1985.

Hikers Rejoice!

Featuring 16 miles of trails, many of which are carriage roads, you can spend a great day outdoors exploring both the scenery and history of Maudslay State Park. The diverse terrain — mostly flat — offers something for everyone, including formal gardens, mountain laurels, azaleas, rhododendrons, as well as some great views of the Merrimack River.

Note: There is a small Parking Fee at Maudslay State Park. Annual Passes are available for purchase.

Mother Nature

Only time will tell if Mother Nature will bring steady April showers once again to produce this splash of spring color. As we New Englanders know all too well, Mother Nature has a mind of her own.
