Franklin Park Zoo

The Franklin Park Zoo tiger named Anala.

Anala

Come Meet Anala

The Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, Massachusetts, is home to Anala, one of the park’s two exotic tigers. These magnificent creatures are striking in both their appearance and movement.

With a large, grassy area in which to roam, Anala is keenly aware of her surroundings. Her steady gaze clearly communicates that she is alert, as she keeps a watchful eye on the park visitors while patrolling her turf.

Safety First!

Both Anala and her companion Luther, a white tiger, are safely enclosed behind a tall chain link fence that protects both them and the park visitors. This shot was a challenge to get as I could only shoot by holding my lens up to the fence and carefully focusing between the small links. Patience was also required, as I had to hope and pray that Anala would eventually step into the frame. As you can see, my silent prayers were answered.
